Amiruddin Medical College AMC Lahore was established in 2011 as a component of the Postgraduate Medical Institute. PGMI was established in 1973 in a block of King Edward Medical College Lahore. PGMI provides postgraduate teaching and training to doctors in core subjects and clinical subjects. The Postgraduate Medical Institute offers PGMI in 60 different programs including 12 diplomas, 48 degree courses. Amiruddin Medical College offers undergraduate programs in Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery MBBS. Faculty members suggested the name of PGMI College.
Students of Amiruddin Medical College are taught by experienced faculty members of the Postgraduate Medical Institute. Amiruddin Medical College is affiliated to the General Hospital of Lahore. The hospital has a capacity of 1076 beds. The college area is 2.68 acres and is located at 6-Abdul Rahman Chaghatti Road, Jail Road, Lahore. Amiruddin Medical College is affiliated to PGMI and UHS and is registered with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council PMDC. AMC is listed in the IMED. The College has shown excellent results in securing 100% passing score in the First Professional Part-I exam in 2016. In the 3rd year of MBBS examination in 39 medical colleges in 2018, ranked first.
