The university offers four-year degree programs in the field of engineering and five-year degree programs in the field of architecture. DUET has recently established a Center for Innovation Research, Creativity Learning and Entrepreneurship (CIRCLE). The university has two campuses, one near Quaid-e-Azam Samadhi and the other located at Block-17 Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi. Both the campuses include various facilities including class rooms, state-of-the-art lending and reference libraries, laboratories, workshops, drawing halls, student cafeteria, auditorium with a capacity of 650, seminar rooms, girls common rooms, etc.

NTS exam is mandatory for admission in this university. For this NTS will conduct the exam at the exam centers in Karachi itself. After that NTS will display the answer key on its website 72 hours after the completion of the test.
