Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture IVS is a non-profit degree awarding institution in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. The university was established in 1989, giving it the right to award its degrees and was the fourth private institution of higher education in Pakistan to be granted university status. As of 2008, IVS was the third highest ranking art and design university in Pakistan.
Degrees offered include a 5-year degree program in Architecture and a 4-year degree program in Interior Design, Textile & Communication Design, and Fine Arts. Core degree courses are supported throughout the curriculum, along with liberal arts courses. In the recent year, IVS has launched its first undergraduate programme, M.Phil. in Art and Design. This is a two-year degree that focuses on nurturing critical and creative practice.
