Punjab University Law College is the oldest Law school of Pakistan. It is offering degree programmes of LL.M, LL.B and LL.B (Hons). The examinations, date sheets, admissions and results of all of its offered courses are independently monitored by the College’s administration. Punjab University law college has set its goal of teaching to deliver meticulous and equitable quality education and promote life-long learning to attain sustainable development goals in line with Millennium Development Goals (MDG) of the United Nations, to train and educate future lawyers on the basis of justice and Pakistan’s jurisdiction, to ensure the improvement in the quality and standard of legal education of Pakistan so that the nation is provided with justice and to implement a culture of legal research and legal reasoning in Pakistan’ s legal education.
The Law College in Punjab University was first established back in 1868. Initially it was offering only one degree programme consisting of two years time span. Since, 1868 to 2018, it has gone through a rich phase of transformations, updates, changes, advancement, progression and developments. It is now offering PhD courses in law and has managed to maintain its caliber of Pakistan’s best Legal education institute. Earlier the building of College was constituted in Katchery Road until 1978. After that it was shifted to Punjab University’s Quaid-e-Azam Campus where it still present and functioning all of its courses.
