SPSC agency was organized in 1926. First, it came into being a British Indian civil service. Later on, the commission was organized in Pakistan in 1947 under the 1935 provision act. Currently, the Commission is headquartered in Hyderabad Sindh and is working for almost all the major governmental organizations based on Sindh province. The current population of Sindh is comprised of 45 million people from which 50,000 are public service employees including government employees.

Sindh Public Service Commission conducts examination sessions throughout the year. Every month the exams are conducted for several governmental organizations. Almost 02 to 03 tests are conducted in a month and sometimes the number of tests increased or decreased based on the requirements of the governmental organizations.
Applicants who appeared under SPSC are provided the results several weeks after finishing the exams.
