In 1990 the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education BISE Saidu Sharif Swat came into existence and conducted the examination for District Saidu Sharif Swat. Prior to 2005 all the powers of the Board were vested in the Governor of the Province, but now the powers have been transferred to the Chief Minister of the Province and he is considered to be the main authority to handle all the affairs of the Board, while the Board is headed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Board. BISE SWAT provides admission to a large number of students every year and only the registered students can get admission and appear in the examination. The board manages the examination centres, supervisory staff and conducts practical examinations for the concerned students.
