Sindh University, Sindh University, informally known as Sindh University, is a public research university, which is located near the educational city of Jamshedpur, Pakistan, Hyderabad. It is one of the oldest universities in Pakistan and was accredited by ISO in 2015. In 2013, the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan ranked eighth in the “General Category”.
The University, established in Karachi in 1947, was shifted to Hyderabad in 1951, where it started functioning as a full-fledged teaching university. The University is affiliated to four La Colleges and other various colleges. The University of Sindh is known for its research in the fields of literature, physics, philosophy and science. The University is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities of the United Kingdom.
